The Accountability Project – Step 1: Setting Goals

The Accountability Project is my attempt to document my journey to triumph over procrastination, laziness, and unhealthy habits. I am starting this blog series as a visible way to hold myself to the goals that I have been nursing for years, but never seem to accomplish.  Step one in this process is actually understanding what I need to focus on and set some goals for myself. I have listed the top five goals I am focused on completing this year.

  1. Commit to an exercise program
  2. School, school, school!
  3. Create and stick to a financial plan
  4. Research and build my business
  5. Improve performance at work

I am committed to making positive changes in my life, and I have learned that time is not always on your side. I have suffered so many losses in the past few years, and I have learned that it is important to live in the present. My mom’s recent health scare has also made me realize that my health is also very important. So it’s time to stop slacking and get to making the positive changes that will improve my life!
